Boarding at Frewen
Boarding is available for boys and girls from the age of around 9, or a little younger if they have an older brother or sister here or we really feel they can cope. Weekend boarding is available without any additional payment. Boarding for girls was introduced in September 2009 and has proved so popular that we are already planning an extension to the boarding house!
We try to make Boarding at Frewen as homely as possible. Boarders are accommodated in rooms rather than dormitories with the largest number in any room being four in the junior house, and two in the senior house. All rooms are en suite and everyone is encouraged to personalise their rooms.
In the boys' boarding house we have two quiet rooms as well as two common rooms (both with large new flat screen TVs!) and a Playstation room, so they have plenty of options. The girls have their own common room and have 'family' breakfast in the kitchen/ breakfast room.
Boarding is very popular, and whenever we have room, we are happy to accommodate day boys for 'occasional boarding' visits, subject to a supplementary payment, although this is temporarily suspended due to lack of space.
